London: Tern (Rybitwa) Book Co, 1952. 700 g; 376 pages, in original blue cloth covered boards. The binding is damaged. The front panel right-hand upper quadrant appears to have been bleached, and there are various spots and rubbing is on the edges of the boards. Apart from previous owner's name on the front free end page, and a couple of foxing spots (possibly cooking) on the front edge of the textblock, the rest of the book is in very good condition. Illustrated with colour plates, translated by E A.Martin, and with a 4 language dictionary. Throughout the book, there are recipes given, some with the native title and then in brackets below the country. The ingredients are measured in pounds and ounces. The instructions are more than adequate. A useful book, for traditional European, as opposed to "remembered" European dishes. A scan can be provided to help assess condition.. 1st English-language Edition. Blue Cloth. Poor/No Jacket. Illus. by Photographic. 8 vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" Tall. Cooking -- European.
