LAST ITEM HELD MATCHING THIS TITLE STATED:

Waterline Books, Shrewsbury, UK, 1997. Hard cover, DJ in transparent protective covering. Very good condition, in a very good unclipped dust jacket, an Excellent ex library copy with usual stamps, stickers and barcode etc. Only borrowed a few times. There are people who go sailing with the breeze behind them and they stay about 10 degrees latitude from the Equator. Very warm and comfortable. Then there are others who go as far as 20 degrees, and the real adventurers get into the 30's. Hobart is 42 degrees south but, Cape Horn is 55 degrees south of the Equator. This is where our adventurer sailed his little boat, single-handed, without any whiz bang navigation equipment. Oh yes I forgot to say, he sailed into the headwinds just for fun. After a very bad rock climbing fall the author took up doing really hard stuff, just to show himself that he could o it. This is an enthralling tale of hard, hard, seamanship, in a very dangerous, cold and distant part of the plan in a very small yacht. Illustrated in colour and b&w, this is a determined read. 17x24cm or 6.5x9.5".
