LAST ITEM HELD MATCHING THIS TITLE STATED:

London: Jonathan Cape, 1948. 550 g; XVI, 484 pages, in original dark green cloth covered boards with illustrated dust jacket by N I Cannon. The dust jacket has a short tear with associated creasing at the top right of the front panel, and light rubbing across the top edge with minor discolouration from handling to the spine section. Top edge of the text block appears to have been tinted a very pale green, which may have faded with age. The book was printed in America and bound in postwar England, which might explain the uneven presentation of the bottom edges of the pages. Nonetheless a very good copy. Frontispiece illustration with tissue guard, introduction by Alfred Leete Hampson, and a single page facsimile of Emily Dickinson's handwriting. Includes appendix, index of first lines. A digital image can be provided to help assess condition.. Second Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Good -- Price Clipped. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. poetry -- American.
