A little rubbing and ruffling to the dustwrapper edges. The autobiography of the author who was born in Melbourne in 1903 and went to sea in the square rigged barque " Rothsay Bay " at the age of 15. From that time he spent his life on sailing ships and writes about the last days of commercial sailing ships and the last great grain race of 1928, in sailing ships.
