London Published by the authoress. mid 1860's. With a full colour lithograph by Groom Wilkinson of the Princess Helena August Victoria (1846-1923).The Princess Helena was the fifth child and third daughter of Albert and Victoria. In 1866 she married into the lesser royal family of Schleswig-Holstein and she and her husband had six children. She and her husband lived always in England. This most interesting piece is signed in ink by the composer Sarah Ann Hayes who in fact also published her own material from her home in Twickenham. In fact her material would appear to be much focused on the many royals of Britain as another piece is dedicated to the Prince of Wales and mentions The Princesses of England Waltzes. Hand dated 1879.Repaired split on outer edge to minimal effect else condition VG. Rare. Signed by composer .
