Coloured illustrated frontispiece, in portrait of James Cassius Williamson by Sir John Longstaff. Within the text there are black and white photographs and illustrations. Tan coloured boards with gilt writing on spine. Rubbing to the book corners and shelf wear is evident to the bottom edges of the book. The head and the heel of spine soft and bumped. Browning to the top paper edge and on the title page there is a gift inscription. Illustrated dustwrapper, showing same illustrations as for frontispiece, bone background and black writing on front panel and spine. Corners of the dustwrapper are slightly rubbed and creased and there is creasing along the top and bottom edges of dustwrapper, most noticeable at the spine edges. There are some stains to front panel and some rubbing and grubby marks to the back. A short biography of J. C.
